Echoing Ridge Residential
Our Christian ministry to persons with disabilities emphasizes a balanced approach to life for everyone. We offer a Medicaid-certified intermediate care facility, one private pay facility, and one HUD-subsidized living facility in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Each of these provides; year-round living accommodations for up to 50 residents in a home-like environment, professional care, and activity options. We also offer an indoor swimming pool, lower ratios, and an amazingly comfortable environment.
Our History
Echoing Hills Village, Inc. has supported thousands of families, friends and neighbors through our ministry to the disabled over the past thirty-five years. We have an incredible legacy of "faith and love." Our journey, through Cordell Brown's dream to serve people like himself, began with $300 and a handful of friends who believed. From two rustic cabins built for the 1967 summer camping season, we have grown into a full service ministry providing quality of life opportunities to individuals with disabilities.
Active Treatment/Therapy
We make a continuous, aggressive and organized effort to help each individual achieve his/her fullest functional capacity, maximum independence, and prevention of regression or loss of current functioning beyond simple maintenance with minimal supervision. "Active Treatment" includes a program of goals and objectives based on assessment of needs and strengths integrated into the individual's full life experience. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy are all prescribed by licensed therapists, with individualized programs to maximize the resident's potential.
Education
Individual habilitation plans developed for each resident are used in setting up general programs each year. Classes cover such areas as typing, current events, budgeting, music, arts and crafts, cooking, Bible, etc. For those residents who have not completed high school, tutoring is available to help them prepare for the GED test. Guidance is given regarding college for those interested in pursuing higher education.
Recreation
