Christian Children's Home of Ohio & Encompass Christian Counseling are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to answer/transfer phone calls, provide information/scheduling to clients, and other clerical duties for their Wooster main campus.

**This position is for 2-3 evenings per week, approximately 4:00-9:00p.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:  It is the responsibility of each employee to be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ and to adhere to the Standard of Moral Conduct and Statement of Faith.  Further, each employee is responsible for dealing with others with a Christ-like attitude while helping them experience their worth in Christ, and for demonstrating behaviors reflecting CCHO's core values of Relentless Commitment, Selflessness, and Kindness.

Other essential functions include the following:

  • Answers and screens telephone calls from a multiline or PBX system, and forwards to appropriate personnel.
  • Greets scheduled and unscheduled visitors and/or clients and conducts to appropriate area or person.
  • Updates appointment calendars for clients and room calendar for meetings.
  • Makes copies of correspondence or other printed materials and distributes as necessary.
  • Composes and types routine correspondence.
  • Responsible for CRC and EC filing, keeping file room in clean condition, and boxing up discharged files when necessary.

Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have ability to use a computer efficiently, with specific familiarity with the internet, accounting and database software, as well as Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word.

The employee is frequently required to walk.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.   The employee is regularly required to answer telephones and speak clearly with clients and the general public.
