Position Overview:

Jobs for Ohio’s Graduates (JOG) is seeking a dynamic Business Engagement and Training Coordinator to support our Advanced Manufacturing and Polymer Excellence (APEX) program and initiatives. This position is responsible for engaging new employers and community partners, facilitating training programs, and developing hands-on training components related to basic manufacturing. The coordinator will play a critical role in enhancing talent and workforce development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and engage new and existing relationships with employers, local area schools, technical training centers, industry partners, and community organizations within Summit, Portage and Wayne counties.
  • Identify and secure partnerships that provide employment, internship, and training opportunities for program participants.
  • Organize and attend networking events, job fairs, and community meetings to promote JOG programs.
  • Refine and implement participant raining sessions focused on basic soft skills and manufacturing skills in alignment with organizational goals and participants’ needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate training outcomes, providing feedback and making improvements as needed.
  • Provide guidance and support to participants throughout the training process.
  • Track participant progress and maintain accurate records of training activities and outcomes.
  • Facilitate partner training session(s).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Workforce Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in workforce development, training facilitation, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing industry standards and training requirements preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Flexibility to travel locally for onsite training sessions as required.
